Children's Services now has an online application process for Early Head Start (pregnant women and children ages birth to 3), Preschool Head Start (children ages 3 and 4) and Pre-K (children age 4 on or before September 1st).
NOTE: Applying Online is not a complete application. This would be the first step in applying and getting an appointment to complete the process.

El programa de Servicios para Niños ahora tiene un proceso para aplicar por internet. Los siguientes programas tienen este servicio Head Start Temprano (mujeres embarazadas y niños de nacimiento a 3 años), Head Start Prescolar (niños edades 3 a 4) y Pre-Kínder (niños que tengan 4 años cumplidos para él o antes el 1º de septiembre).

Early Head Start
We welcome infants and toddlers up to age 3, in our Early Head Start program and we offer services to pregnant women through resource and referral, education, pre-natal care and maternal health. Young children experience quality services in a warm and caring center-based environment that values each child individually.
Head Start Preschool
The Head Start Preschool and Alabama Office of School Readiness Pre-K classrooms promote school readiness by offering a socially stimulating learning environment that encourages children, ages 3 to 5, to engage in hands-on experiences and explore the world around them.
Pre-K
The Head Start Preschool and Alabama Office of School Readiness Pre-K classrooms promote school readiness by offering a socially stimulating learning environment that encourages children to engage in hands-on experiences and explore the world around them. Children whose fourth birthday occurs on or before September 1st of the start of the program year are eligible for acceptance.
First Teacher Home Visiting Program
The First Teacher Home Visiting Program provides information, support, and encouragement to parents and caregivers through home visits to help children develop optimally during the crucial early years of life.

Like the PAT program, the Home Visitors Program provides information, support, and encouragement to parents and caregivers through home visits to help children develop optimally during the crucial early years of life.
