The East Decatur Community Improvement Association (EDCIA) is a non-profit organization committed to improving the quality of life in East Decatur, Alabama. EDCIA strives to make the community a place where people want to live, work, and play. The EDCIA believes that engaged citizens participate in community life and decision-making, and we accomplish this through projects that improve the physical conditions in the neighborhood, activities that bring people together and build community, engaging residents in deliberate community planning, advocating on behalf of the community, coordinating resources and services to support the community, and communicating regularly with residents.
