Giving Back

As a company we encourage our employees to give back to the community. Employees from a variety roles at The Partnership are involved in planning and implementing volunteer opportunities throughout the year and become actively involved in giving back to our local communities. One major giving opportunity each year is through the annual United Way Campaign. The Partnership has three programs supported by United Way dollars: Meals on Wheels & More, Foster Grandparents and the Senior Companion Program. Because of United Way giving, our clients and volunteers are directly impacted by the generous donations of our employees and others each campaign year.

Dozens of GE Appliances employees from the Decatur, Alabama, location joined forces Tuesday, September 12, 2017, to support Day of Caring.  More than 500 bags of dry soup mix were prepared for seniors from the Partnership's Foster Grandparents and Senior Companions Programs.  Each bag contains two servings of soup.  The only preparation needed is the addition of hot water.  The soup mix will provide two meals for seniors who live alone or have limited access to nutritious food during colder weather.
