The Community Action Partnership of North Alabama (The Partnership) will host “Volunteer Decatur” on Friday, July 14th from 5 to 8 p.m. at Delano Park. “Volunteer Decatur” is a collaborative effort among The Partnership and other local organizations to focus on the need for new volunteers for the many programs in the Decatur area. Volunteer opportunities and available service projects for people of all ages and skills in the Decatur area will be highlighted at the event.
The “Volunteer Decatur” event will give local residents the opportunity to enjoy food, fun, games and music while learning about volunteering in the Decatur community. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be provided at no cost, and games and activities will be hosted by local organizations including Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Committee on Church Cooperation (CCC) and Habitat for Humanity.
The family-friendly event is open to the public at no charge.
